Stereophonics - My Friends
Having just finished a nationwide UK tour with special guests The Enemy, chart topping mainstay Stereophonics return with the full-throttle new single 'My Friends'. The second song to be taken from their Number 1 album 'Pull The Pin', it's a blazing, Instantaneous moment of rock' n roll rapid-fire.
Written by Kelly Jones, it kick-starts with shimmering electric guitar chords before shifting gear into a glorious, one-listen-and-you're-hooked chorus. One of the album's inimitable highlights, 'My Friends' follows the lead single 'It Means Nothing' and is available on Maxi CD, USB, 7" vinyl and to download with must-have bonus material.
The video was directed by Charles Mehling, whose credits include Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Kooks, The Charlatans.
Produced by Kelly and Jim Lowe (Foo Fighters, Manic Street Preachers), 'Pull the Pin' is a rock record of epic proportions. Mixed by Spike Stent, whose previous credits include U2, Depeche Mode and Massive Attack, it's a welcome return for the band and follows a decade of uninterrupted commercial success.
"In these times - when you can download a track before it's even released - one song can't be weaker than another, you have to make 'em all stand their own ground," enthuses Kelly. "I think we've achieved the best parts of the band over the last ten years on one record," according to Kelly. Enough said.
Stereophonics are: Kelly Jones, Richard Jones and Javier Weyler.
